Ageing Spring School: "The Multi-Disciplinary Toolkit for Global Ageing Research" The Spring School held 14 – 17 April 2008 attracted 70 participants drawn from 30 countries across the globe representing 20 disciplines. It provided a Multi-Disciplinary Toolkit for Global Ageing Research, by equipping the next generation of researchers with the tools they need to move into the 21st century. The School has drawn on Oxford academics from three divisions, and presented a unique opportunity for interaction between leading experts and emerging researchers in bio-demographic, social and behavioural research, to explore both individual and population ageing. The School filled an existing gap in academic skills in global ageing research and once again emphasized the University of Oxford, and the Oxford Institute of Ageing, as a first in this endeavour.
