Announcing 2017 Conference: “Demography, Ageing and Health”


In celebration of 20 years since the establishment of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, we are happy to announce the first of a series of events during the academic year 2017-2018.

 

Emerging Researchers Conference on “Demography, Ageing and Health” 26-28 September 2017, University of Oxford

The year will be launched with this Emerging Researchers Conference for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers which will provide an opportunity to network and present research to an international research community.

This Conference will combine international keynote speakers with themed sessions for emerging researchers to discuss their work under the following streams:

  • Biology and Ageing
  • Cognition and the Brain
  • Changing demographic and  socio-economic environments and ageing
  • Technology and ageing

Notice of Acceptance: March 2017

Full programme available: April 2017

Registration opens in January 2017

The conference will include speakers and emerging researchers from Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Australia; it will provide a key opportunity to disseminate among a growing international research community

During the academic year there will be a series of keynote speakers and the celebrations will culminate in June 2018 with an alumni garden party. We shall be announcing further details of these events in 2017.
