IPPF - Oxford Research Skills Training Workshop, 8-10 May 2017

Purpose: to increase IPPF’s contributions to evidence on effective interventions for improving SRHR programmes and policy

Objectives:

• to understand research ethics
• to understand the research process and how to design research studies
• to develop methodological knowledge [qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods] and statistical and analytical skills
• to know how to review and critique published research evidence and interpret research findings
• to learn about systematic reviews and evidence gaps maps as important research tools
• to understand how to learn from and translate research findings into action (in programmes and policy)
• to know how to communicate research results effectively
• to increase IPPF’s participation in collaborative research partnerships
• to develop a draft research action plan
