About the Speaker:
Jaco Hoffman, DPhil (Oxon), is associate professor of socio-gerontology and leader of the Optentia Research Focus programme: Ageing and Generational Dynamics in Africa (AGenDA), North-West University, South Africa as well as senior research fellow in the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, University of Oxford, UK. He is also an honorary fellow in the Institute of Ageing in Africa, University of Cape Town. Jaco co-directs, with Prof Sebastiana Kalula (UCT), the International Longevity Centre (ILC) – South Africa.
