About the Speaker
Professor Sarah Lindley, University of Manchester
Sarah Lindley is Professor of Geography at the University of Manchester. She researches humanenvironment interactions and the influence of the urban environment on human health and wellbeing. Her research is collaborative and multi-disciplinary with a strong geographical information science dimension. She has continuing interests in air pollution, environmental risk and climate change adaptation, with particular expertise related to urban heat and the regulating ecosystem functions of urban green infrastructure. Her research covers Europe, Africa and Asia. She has worked as a UK government expert and was a lead author on the Inter-governmental Platform for Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services Africa Regional Assessment
