About the Speaker
Dr Chiara Natalie Focacci, University of Oxford
Dr Chiara Focacci is a Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing.
She previously worked as a researcher with both quantitative and qualitative expertise in projects interested in labour market policies, technological revolutions, and the green economy at UCL’s Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (Prof. Carlota Perez) and the Robert Schuman Centre at the European University Institute. She collaborates with the Law & Economics Centre at ETH Zurich, the Laboratoire d’Etudes sur les Nouvelles formes de Travail, l’Innovation et le Changement of HEC Liège, and the Ageing Institute at Linköping University.
Chiara obtained her PhD in Economics & Law at the University of Bologna (Prof. Enrico Sanrarelli), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Prof. Michael Faure), and Universität Hamburg. Her thesis explored the socioeconomic and historical implications of reskilling programmes in the labour market and the existence of an identity in the labour market which has a social dynamic.
