About the Speaker

Prof Piotr Szukalski, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz

Piotr is a specialist in demography and social gerontology, associated with the University of Lodz Faculty of Economics and Sociology for nearly 30 years. He is currently a member of the Departament of Rural and Urban Studies and Sociology of Social Change. Prof. Szukalski is a member of three committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences, i.e., the Committee on Demographic Sciences, the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences and the Forecast Committee. He previously served on President Andrzej Duda's National Development Council for two terms.
