On Friday 22nd January 2016, Ana Maria Lopez Narbona, Visitor to the Institute of Population Ageing (2015),  successfully presented and defended her doctoral thesis "On Falseness and Inevitability: The Paradox of the Human Condition from the Analysis of the Migration Processes" at the University of Malaga.

Ana received the highest grade "CUM LAUDE" and so she also received the EUROPEAN RECOGNITION (Doctora con Mención Europea). 

Ana’s supervisor was Dr. Marta Ortega Gaspar, who was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute in 2012..
