LARNA Network Meeting | University of Havana


The Conference “LIFE-LONG LEARNING AND ACTIVE AND PARTICIPATORY AGEING” was held on 23-26 May, 2017 in University of Havana, Cuba.

The conference, under the chairmanship of Professor Teresa Orosa, was sponsored by the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing through its LARNA Network.

Topics ranging from population change, quality of life, and health and social care were presented and discussed in relation to the development of policy.

Dr. Leeson’s presentation was on increasing longevity, and he also expressed the commitment of the Oxford Institute for Population Aging to maintain and develop collaborative academic links with the University of Havana. Dr. Klein spoke about intergenerational relationships in ageing societies.
