BBC Breakfast | George Leeson

Could people now in their 20’s have to work until 70's to get a pension because life spans are growing with every new generation?

Dr George Leeson discussed life expectancy in Britain and the implications for work and retirement on the BBC Breakfast show. Life expectancy is growing by around 2.5 years per decade. "Expectations in terms of stopping working is more to do with the individual's capabilities, being able to work. Remaining active as long as possible is crucial as we move forward through the 21st century", said Leeson.
