It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Baroness Sally Greengross. Sally was, and remains, a major international figure in Gerontology. Sally was Director General of Age Concern England; joint Chair of the Age Concern Institute of Gerontology at King's College London, Secretary General of Eurolink Age, and Chief Executive of ILC UK. She was also a kind and generous colleague. On a personal note, Sally became DG of Age Concern in 1987, the year after I started my research in Gerontology. She has been there for my entire career, and she will be deeply missed.
