'Baby boom generation just refuses to quit' | Prof Sarah Harper on Financial Times


Prof Sarah Harper commented on mature workers and complusory retirement in a recent Financial Times article entitled: 'Baby boom generation just refuses to quit'.

Increasing longevity and improved health have led people to extend their working lives and are calling compulsory retirement ages into doubt. As seismic demographic shifts transform the global workforce, companies are asking themselves whether and how they should keep this array of seasoned talent in employment. Harper commented: “It would be great if HR set aside time to ask people in their early 50s: ‘What are you going to do with the next 20 years?’”
