Dr Alis Oancea has been commissioned by the ESRC/Teaching and Learning Research Programme to carry out an audit of criteria of research quality currently in use in a range of relevant contexts of research assessment (from bidding, to project evaluation, and to publication), and to analyse them against the background of aspirational criteria, as set out in the literature on research quality and knowledge exchange. The project, “Criteria-in-use or criteria-of-choice? Operational and aspirational approaches to the quality of HEI-based education research in several contexts of assessment,”will report in Spring 2009.
