Imagining our Future

Imagining our Future

Lausanne, Switzerland
September 13th, 2012

Individualism, financial crises, social inequalities, demographic shifts, climate disruptions, insufficient natural resources, all the challenges facing our world today have one common denominator: the difficulty of our modern societies, developed or not, to change their behavior and undergo a real transformation. At the 'Imagining our Future' Conference in Lausanne on 13th September, TEDxHelvetia presenters and participants will review the different sociological, cultural and scientific obstacles that prevent us changing our ways in the field of energy, economics and science, and will highlight ideas, developments and specific solutions that could gradually help us reverse this trend.

Professor Sarah Harper will be leading the way in this exploration with her presentation on '2050: The Year the Population Stopped Growing.'
