Planet Under Pressure: Taking Stock of Past and Current Demographic Trends

The Woodrow Wilson Center’s Environmental Change and Security Program (ECSP) has interviewed Prof Sarah Harper at London’s 2012 “Planet Under Pressure” conference on population, health, and security.

Harper stressed that demographers need worry about important changes in modern population and environment dynamics. The earlier  this growth is acknowledged, the easier it will be to offer interventions like family planning and reproductive health to hedge it.
