Why Britain's cities should become dementia-friendly

'The Voice of Russia' has released a radio interview of Professor Harper on dementia-friendly cities.

Britain, like many other countries, has a population that's living longer. An unfortunate side effect is that more people are suffering from dementia - 800,000 at the moment. That figure will double in the next thirty years.

A new report, from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, says more needs to be done to help sufferers. It wants cities to become dementia-friendly with special walking routes, fewer roadsigns and more training for shop staff.
