Ana Maria Lopez Narbona is a lawyer and a Professor at the University of Malaga, Spain. Her professional career as a lawyer has been developed at lawfirms of international recognition, such as Arthur Andersen, Garrigues Andersen and Osborne Clarke. Her domain of knwoledge has always been related to the international context where she has developed a special sensibility towards immigrants and their problems in host societies. She is currently researching the immigration-crime link from a neurobiosociological point of view. A deep understanding on the immigrants-nationals relations can not be properly reached without proper research on values, beliefs and ideals and the cognitional and emotional processes which mould perceptions and actions.
