Mr. Kalula holds a BA Honours degree (D R Congo) and a Masters degree in Administration (Public Policy: Management Programmes development: University of the Western Cape, South Africa). He is busy with his doctoral studiesin Public Management (Cape Peninsula University of Technology: South Africa) with a special interest in Gerontology.

  • Intergenerational relationships between older persons and grandchildren, as well as own adult children living in the same household.

  • HIV/AIDS and consequences in the life of older persons in South Africa and Africa in general.

  •  To investigate how infected HIV children could affect older carers
  •  To investigate the socio-economic impact of the old age pension in the pensioner household within selected areas of South Africa
