Biosketch
Mr Sugahara was born in Brazil. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economy and Public Policy from the Institute of Labor Science and Business – ISCTE - Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (ISCTE), Lisbon, Portugal. He also has a degree in Economics from The Pontfical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil. Mr Sugahara is an Associate Member of the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), DINÂMIA’CET-IUL.
Since 2011 he has been an associate collaborator of the Research Group on Poverty and Social Protection at the Institute of Social and Economic Studies in Mozambique. His areas of research are Ageing Population and Cities, being currently involved in the project of the Research Group on Poverty and Social Protection of IESE,"Population Aging in Mozambique: Conquest, Threat or Opportunity?”
