Dr Alma Au was an Academic Visitor at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing (4th July - 15th July 2016).
Dr Au is the Research Co-ordinator of the Institute of Active Ageing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also works as Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Social Sciences at the University and is the Director of the Child Development Centre. She is a Chartered Psychologist and has practiced clinical psychology in London and Hong Kong. She is also a Fellow and Registered Clinical Psychologist of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. She has published in various international journals. Her projects have been funded by both government and non-government bodies. Her current interests converge on developing sustainable models of health care, the use of technology to assist special needs productive aging and inter-generational relationships.
