Liu Huijun is a Professor at the Institute for Population and Development Studies, a researcher of the Center for Aging and Health Research, School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Her research is focused on gender, ageing and health in contemporary transitional China, including gender and reproductive health of women, gender imbalance and health risk, family structure, old-age support and health of rural elderly in China. She is currently working with Professor Sarah Harper on a project regarding older women's health issues in China.
