Hua Yazhou is a visiting student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 31st March 2017 to 30th September 2017.
He is currently a PhD candidate at the Center for Social Security Studies at Wuhan University, China. Prior to this, he graduated from the School of Economics and Management, Wuhan University with a Master Degree on Economics specialising in Insurance and Actuarial Science.
His field of study concerns Social Pension Schemes, Commercial Insurance and Actuarial Science in China. Hua has published several journal articles and conference papers about Pension Reforms and other related fields. He is currently working on a paper titled “Effects of Population Ageing and Internal Migration on the Sustainability of Pension Fund: Comparisons and Enlightenments from the UK”.
