Tatjana Fischer was a visiting researcher at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 1st July 2017 to 31st July 2017.

Tatjana is debuty head of the Institute of Spatial Planning, Environment Planning and Land-Rearrangement at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU Vienna). She studied Geography at Vienna University and graduated from the Department of Spatial, Landscape and Infrastructure Sciences, BOKU Vienna, with a doctoral degree.

Her core areas of research concern the spatiality of demographic ageing and spatial planning for later life in rural contexts.

She currently is conducting a case-study research dealing with (planning) opportunities to maintain the quality of life of older people in a small town copying with population ageing.
