Luc Yao is a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 1st January 2018 to 12 March 2022.

Luc is based in Darmstadt, Germany and is active in the electronics industry, related start-ups, and the Open Innovation networks.  Luc is responsible for a number of innovation projects at Merck KGaA, a leading science and technology company in healthcare, life science and performance materials. Luc’s work includes verifying the market potential of emerging technologies, and helping construct the eco-systems which can most effectively commercialise these innovations. His research at the Institute will focus on the adjacent domains of population ageing, digital health and developing countries.

Luc has a Master of Business Administration from Manchester Business School, UK, and a Master of Science from HEC Paris and the Said Business School, Oxford University.
