Yun-Young Kim was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 14th January to 14th April 2018.

She is currently an ABD (all-but-dissertation) at the Graduate School of Social Welfare, Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. Her research interests include comparative social policy, elderly labour market, precarious workers, income maintenance system and elderly poverty. Her publications include  ‘Precarious Workers in South Korea (Humanitas 2017, written in Korean)’ and ‘Precarious elderly workers in post-industrial South Korea' (forthcoming, Journal of Contemporary Asia). She is now working on her doctoral research focusing on comparative pension systems and old-age income maintenance of precarious workers in transitioning labour market.
