Grace SoIm Park was an Academic Visitor at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 21 March 2018 to 3 September 2018.
Grace is based at Yonsei University, South Korea, where she works as a research professor in the Architectural engineering department.
At the University of Humanistic Studies her research concerns the following topics: Social stabilizing and Universal design in a Post-Aged Society in terms of human happiness with fundamental resilience.
She obtained her Master’s degree and Ph.D. Degree from Yonsei University, she also trained as a Research fellow and Research Professor at the same university.
She has published a number of articles on aspects of an Aging-friendly environment.
She was awarded a prize from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) in the field of emergency invention for the elderly 2007 and a Research Award from the Architectural Institute of Korea(AIK) 2011, 2014.
Prior to coming to OIPA, she lead the RELIVING as a Co-Founder(CEO). Notably, she worked for Habitat for Humanity Korea as a Director of Committee for Voluntary Service Overseas and the Korea Research Institute of Eco-Environmental Architecture(KRIEA) as an Executive Director.
