Zhendong Wu is a Visiting student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from May 2019 to September 2019.

He is a 2nd year Ph.D. student at the Institute of Population Research, Peking University. His field of research concerns population ageing, health of elderly people and persons with disabilities.

He drafted the "Wuhan Declaration" to promote the integration education and equal employment of disabled people in China. He also established the Ganquan Volunteer Team and Wuhan Inclusive Education and Rehabilitation Development Association, the first inclusive education and rehabilitation development association in China, to promote new development of education integration. He was the central representative of the 6th China Disabled Persons' Federation national congress.

As an active researcher he has presided over six projects including national social science projects and provincial or ministerial projects, drafted thirteen project reports, participated in the writing of two books, and published five international papers, four journal articles and one paper in a national newspaper.

He is currently working on his research on Time Bank exchange and transaction mechanism.
