Rocio Rodriguez Soler

Rocío Rodríguez Soler returned to the Institute until 10 April 2022.

She was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from September 2019 to December 2019. Originally from Spain, Rocío has a multidisciplinary background. She graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Aerospace Engineering with a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies and Environment. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Local Sustainable Development and Co-development from the University of Almería.

She is a 3rd year PhD student at the University of Almería, Spain. Her field of research concerns rural depopulation and sustainable development.

Currently, she has been granted a CERU on the move Scholarship. In 2016-2017 she developed her research at the National University of Salta (Argentina) through a Sustain-T Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

As an active researcher, Rocío has published and participated in international academic journals and congresses, respectively.

She is currently working on determinant variables related to rural depopulation.
