Ko-Eun Park was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 5th December 2019 to 20th February 2020.

She is currently a Ph.D. candidate majoring in social welfare policy at the Graduate School of Social Welfare, Ewha Woman's University in Seoul, Korea. She is appointed to receive her Ph.D in February 2020. Her doctoral dissertation is focused on occupational hazards and the social safety net of a female in-home elderly care worker. Her research interests are in the social security system of the precarious labour market, such as elderly female workers in the service industry; changing occupational risks in the service economy; occupational safety and health policy; industrial accident compensation insurance (IACI) policy; and long-term care policy.

Her recent article "Why are cleaning workers precarious? – subcontracted female cleaning labour and fictional Korean Social Protection" has been published in the Korean journal of labor studies.
