Sebastian Hanika

Sebastian Hanika is a visiting student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from April 27 to June 19 2026. Based in Sweden, he is a PhD student in Human Geography at Lund University, where his research draws on economic geography and demography to explore the geographies of old-age employment and the mobility of older workers. His work is primarily quantitative, drawing on Swedish population register data.

Sebastian holds a Master's Degree in Human Geography from the University of Copenhagen and has graduated from the European Doctoral School of Demography at the Centre for Demographic Studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Sebastian Hanika was a visiting student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 16th November 2020 to 12 March 2022.
