Miroslava Aviña was a Visiting Student al the Oxford Institute Of Population Ageing from 16 October 2020 to 9 April 2021.

Her research interest is within the field of interdisciplinary psychosocial processes of aging that study the interrelation and intersection between population changes, emerging identities and family ties in transition

Miroslava is currently a Doctoral Student in Social Sciences at Universidad de Guanajuato-León in México, with a Conacyt Scholarship (National Council of Science and Technology). She obtained a Bachelor in Law and a Bachelor in Psychology, both at Universidad del Valle de Atemajac-La Piedad in México, trining in Clinical Psychopathology at IMCED (Michoacan Institute of Educational Science) and a Master´s in Clinical Psychotherapy at Universidad Iberoamericana-León in México.

She has been responsible for the human resources department in companies in the region, she has also worked in NGOs, with extensive experience in volunteering with vulnerable social groups.
