Amanda is currently working in Brazil as a research assistant on labor market research project at the University of British Columbia.

She was a Leslie Kirkley Visitor at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing in 2021-2022 to carry out a literature review on age-friendly cities in Brazil, Canada, England, and Japan. 

Amanda graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with a Bachelor of Social Work. She is a member of the project "Assessorship Via University Extension", since 2019, at UFRJ.  Amanda was a volunteer research assistant.at the Interdisciplinary Center for Studies on Inequality (NIED-UFRJ). She has experience of acting in the education area for the period dedicated to the internship at the MUDES Foundation (University Movement for Economic and Social Development). Amanda is a Research Assistant at University of Michigan (remotely) under the supervision of Dr. Cristina Bares, where she assists in the identification, collection and preparation of abstracts of scientific literature on substance use by adolescents in the Americas.
