Michaela Honelova is a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing.

She was working in the Gender focal point team at the Ministry of the Interior and has experience as an external expert in the Department of Evaluation of Research Organizations at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic.

Her current research interest is the sociological approach of anti-aging aesthetic surgery in the Czech context.  She is particularly interested in the so-called path that leads/has led a woman to undergo anti-aging aesthetic surgery procedures. She is also interested in the issue of gender in society.

Michaela is currently a Doctoral Student in Longevity Studies at Charles University, Czech Republic. She also holds a Bachelor and Master in Sociology and Gender Studies, Department of Sociology at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic.
