Shlomit Weiss-Dagan was an academic visitor at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing.

Shlomit is a member of the School of Social Work at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. Shlomit holds a Ph.D. in Social-Work and a Master in Social-Work (MSW). During her post-doctoral studies at Upenn University, she examined trends in social policy evolution in general and the evolution of child welfare policy in particular. 

Her research interest is social welfare policy, poverty and inequality from critical theory perspective. Currently, she is working on a project about older adults' poverty. She conducted qualitative research in Israel about the subjective experience of older adults living in poverty.
