Xiaoli Luan is a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from October 2023 to April 2024. She has graduated from the Nankai University with a Master of Economics (2018-2020). She is a Ph.D. candidate from the School of International Trade and Economics, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), China.

Luan's current research interests focus on two topics: transnational investment, and the impact of population ageing on international trade. She is interested in cross-field research and during her time at the Institute she hopes to focuse on the population ageing and economic development topics.
