Shangjun Liu was a visiting academic at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing. 

She currently holds the position of a Postdoctoral Fellow and Assistant Researcher at Institute of Population Research, Peking University. In 2022 she obtained her Ph.D. in Demography from Peking University. Her primary research areas include social gerontology, healthy aging, and public services for older adults. She has been a key member in several national and provincial research projects related to aging and disability issues.
