Xiaodong Zhang is a visiting student at the Oxford Institution of Population Ageing from October 2023 to March 2024 . He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in social security at Wuhan University. He is currently a PhD candidate majoring in demography at Peking University.

His current research interests mainly focus on social welfare, disability and ageing health.
