Yue Wei was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from October 2024 to March 2025.
She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Institute of Population Research at Peking University, China. She holds a Master’s degree in Demography from Peking University and a Bachelor’s degree in Labor and Social Security from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Yue’s research interests lie in the social determinants of health, specifically the health of older adults. Her current research focuses on modifiable risk factors for cognitive impairment and dementia. Her previous work has addressed several topics within the field, such as age-period-cohort effects on dementia mortality in older adults in China and the association between sleep duration and cognitive impairment in older adults in China.
