Hanbing Yang was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from October 2024 to April 2025. She is a third-year master's student in Social Work at the Institute of Population Research, Peking University, China.

Hanbing’s research is generally focused on the health of younger children and older adults in urban environments, with a particular emphasis on the promotion of mental wellbeing and the fostering of harmonious living. Her research is primarily concerned with the examination of modifiable, everyday risk and protective factors. Her research investigates the influence of community policies, population dietary policies, and intergenerational communication styles on the mental health of the population.
