Dr Haixia Jiang

Haixia Jiang is a Visiting Academic at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from December 2024 to December 2025.

At present, she occupies the position of Associate Professor and serves as a Supervisor for Master's students within the School of Public Administration at Hunan University, China. Dr. Jiang obtained her Doctor’s degree in Demography from Peking University and her Master’s degree in Social Security from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Her research endeavors are comprehensively dedicated to the study of ageing populations and elderly care services, especially long - term care services for the disabled elderly, the analysis of disability trajectories, and the investigation of integrated care systems. Dr. Jiang's research achievements have been extensively disseminated through publications in reputable academic journals.

Furthermore, she has been the principal investigator of several national and provincial - level research projects that focus on the disabled older adults and individuals with disabilities. In addition, her substantial contributions to several books and reports on older adult care services have established her as an expert in this academic domain.
