Dr. Jie Liu holds a Ph.D. in Economics and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. Her research examines industrial restructuring, labor migration, and elderly care, with a particular focus on county-level socioeconomic transformation. She has been actively involved in policy-oriented studies examining the socioeconomic impacts of Industrial upgrading and employment dynamics at the county level in China. Her work at the institute would evaluate pension system reforms in the context of out-migration in rural and less-developed regions.
