Minlu Zhou was a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from September 2025 to March 2026.

Minlu is currently a PhD student at the School of Labor Economics at Capital University of Economics and Business. Her research mainly focuses on social security, assistance for low-income populations, and the well-being of the older adults in rural areas in the context of the transition of relative poverty governance.

During her time at the University of Oxford, Minlu was constructing a multi-dimensional welfare framework for older adults, and gaining in-depth insights into the role of unconditional cash transfers in improving the welfare of low-income older adults, thereby providing forward-looking reflections for the process of deep population aging and regular relative poverty governance in China.
