Dingchun Hou is a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from October 2025 to April 2026.

Dingchun is currently a graduate student at the Institute of Population Research, Peking University, majoring in Gerontology. He obtained the Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Peking University. His research focuses on geriatric syndromes, especially frailty and cognitive impairment. He is interested in exploring their bio-psycho-social risk factors using epidemiologic methods, such as prospective cohorts.

During his stay at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing, he will focus on the social factors that influence frailty or cognitive impairment, as well as the potential biological and socio-psychological mechanisms between them from a perspective of the life course.
