CHU, Hongling, PhD in Science of Clinical Research. She is an associate professor, working at Peking University Third Hospital.
Her main research interests include clinical research design and implementation, implementation science, behavioral interventions, and patient engagement, with a particular emphasis on qualitative and mixed methods research.
She is leading the China Chapter of MMIRA. She is also leading translator of the book "Handbook of Mixed Methods Research Practice: Design, Implementation, and Publication" and "Guidelines for the Application of Qualitative Research in Randomized Controlled Trials," She has also contributed to "The SAGE Handbook of Mixed Methods Research Design", "Implementation Science in Health," and is leading to write the Chinese book of “The Theory and Practice of Mixed Methods Research”.
Dr. CHU has led ten research projects, including a national multicenter mixed methods study on patient experiences and quality of life in rare diseases, a COPD behavior intervention research funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other sources.
During her visit to Oxford, Dr Chu will continue her work on behavior intervention and patient experience among ageing patients.
