Balnur Aidarbekova is a Visiting Student at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing from 15 April to 14 May 2026,
Balnur is a second–year doctoral researcher student in Public Health from the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Almaty, Kazakhstan. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and her master’s degree in Healthcare Management before starting her doctoral studies in Public Health.
Her doctoral research focuses on the impact of digital technologies on the accessibility and satisfaction with medical and social care among older adults in Kazakhstan. The aim of her study is to analyse how digital solutions influence access to medical and social services for older people and to develop evidence-based recommendations to improve service accessibility and satisfaction through digital technologies.
In Kazakhstan, her academic supervisor is Associate Professor Akmaral Abikulova, and her international supervisor is Professor Hafiz Khan.
