Research interests

Professor James Tilly works primarily in the fields of public opinion and electoral behaviour, with a focus on British politics. His main research to date centres upon models of generational political and social change, and the influence of political knowledge upon vote choice. Other research interests include Northern Irish politics, European Parliamentary elections and the sociology of religion.
