About the Speaker

Professor Ignacio Pardo, Universidad de la República, Uruguay

Ignacio Pardo is a Senior Researcher and Professor at the Population Program (Universidad de la República, Uruguay). He holds a Master’s degree from the same institution and earned his PhD from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). He served as President of the Latin American Population Association (2019–2020) and coordinated the Uruguayan chapter of the Generations and Gender Survey (2022). His research focuses on ultra-low fertility, family change, population development, and population policies.
