Research
Andreas Hoff is Professor für Soziale Gerontologie at the Hochschule Zittau-Görlitz, Fakultät für Sozialwissenschaften in Germany. Until January 2011 Dr Hoff was a James Martin Senior Research Fellow of the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing. He directed Eastern-European Ageing Societies in Transition” (EAST) Research Network and the Research Programme “Intergenerational Relationships, Families and Communities”.
Hoff coordinated the British part of the international research project “Carers@Work - Between Job and Care: Conflict or Opportunity?” (Partners in Germany, Italy and Poland) funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, as well as the research project “Future of Cities: Climate Change and Population Ageing – Conflict and Convergence” in collaboration with partners at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, the Royal College of Art in London, as well as Kyushu and Shizuoka Universities in Japan, funded by the Oxford Programme for the Future of Cities within the James Martin 21st Century School.
