Emanuela returned to Italy in February 2015 and now works for UNICEF.
Emanuela joined the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing in 2010 to work at the research project Intergenerational relationships in Italian transnational families, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, and the Collen Programme, exploring reproductive health, education and women's empowerment in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Previous to her Oxford position, Emanuela was awarded a EU Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Surrey. Her main research interests include intergenerational and gender relationships, transnational family networks, informal care.
