EAST Network 2016 Workshop


The 2nd EAST Research Network workshop was held in Budapest in June 10-11 2016. The two day workshop on ‘Long Term Care, Spatial Planning and Public Policy in Central and Eastern Europe’, held at the Central European University, attracted 32 members of EAST from 13 countries.

Dr George Leeson opened the 2016 EAST workshop with a keynote about 'Why ageing and why EAST?'. The programme included presentations from Professor Andreas Hoff, Affiliate Research Fellow, on ‘Models of care across Europe’ and Christian Heidl, a former Visiting Researcher at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing,  on ‘First impacts of a digital monitored exsiccosis system for long term care quality – implications for quality of life of elderly people as well as caregiver acceptance.’
